A clean file
closes on time

Montgomery Mortgage Capital Corporation is a New Jersey mortgage banking corporation based in Parsippany. Since 2005 we have financed home purchases and refinances the same way: careful underwriting up front, so that closing day holds no surprises.

Who we are

Twenty years of
doing it properly

Montgomery Mortgage Capital Corporation was established as a New Jersey corporation in 2005 and has operated from Cherry Hill Road in Parsippany, in the heart of Morris County, ever since. We finance home purchases and refinances for New Jersey households.

Two decades in this business teaches one lesson above all others: almost every mortgage that goes wrong goes wrong early. A document nobody asked for at application becomes an emergency in week six. A deposit nobody explained becomes a condition three days before closing.

So our discipline is front-loaded. We ask the awkward questions at the start, build the file properly the first time, and order what's needed before it becomes urgent. It makes the first week slightly more work for everyone — and the last week almost uneventful, which is exactly how a closing should feel.

"Nobody remembers a smooth closing. That is precisely the point."

Purchase & Refinance

Both sides of residential financing

Loan programs

Financing matched to the borrower

The right program depends on your credit, your down payment, the property and your plans. Here is the range we work across.

I

Conventional

The standard route for borrowers with established credit — competitive terms across primary residences, second homes and investment properties.

II

FHA

Government-insured financing with more accessible down payment and credit requirements — frequently the practical entry point for first-time buyers.

III

VA

For veterans, active-duty service members and eligible spouses — often with no down payment required and no private mortgage insurance.

IV

Jumbo

Financing above conforming limits — a routine consideration in much of northern New Jersey, where values regularly exceed agency thresholds.

V

Rate & Term Refinance

Lower a rate or reshape a term — with an honest calculation of whether the savings genuinely outweigh the costs for your timeline.

VI

Cash-Out Refinance

Access accumulated equity for renovations, consolidation or other purposes, with the trade-offs of the new terms laid out plainly first.

Our standard

The work happens
at the start

Any lender can issue a pre-approval. The difference between firms shows up in whether that pre-approval survives underwriting — and whether the closing date on the contract turns out to be real.

We would rather be thorough in week one than apologetic in week six. That is the entire philosophy, and after two decades it has proven the only one worth having.

  • 01

    Underwrite before we promise

A pre-approval that reflects real review, not a rough estimate

  • 02

    Order early

Appraisal, title and verifications initiated before they're urgent

  • 03

    Clear conditions ahead of time

Nothing left to be resolved in the final days

  • 04

Say no when the answer is no

An early honest decline beats a late failed closing

They asked for more documentation at the start than our previous lender asked for in total — and then we closed on the contract date without a single last-minute request. I understand now that those are the same fact.

Self-employed income makes lenders nervous. Instead of asking for the same statements four times, they explained exactly what an underwriter needed to see and why. Once assembled, the file went through without drama.

As a listing agent, what I need is a pre-approval I can actually rely on. Theirs hold up. When I see their letter attached to an offer, I tell my sellers it's a serious one — and I've never regretted saying so.
